ποΈ Mokshada Ekadashi Vrat Katha
Once upon a time, in the kingdom of Hastinapur, there lived a devout Brahmin named Ved Sharma. He was a dedicated follower of Lord Vishnu and observed all the Ekadashi fasts with great devotion.
One day, Ved Sharma heard about the significance of Mokshada Ekadashi, which falls on the eleventh day of the waxing moon in the Margashirsha month. He learned that observing this fast with sincerity and devotion can help one attain liberation from the cycle of birth and death.
Determined to observe the Mokshada Ekadashi fast, Ved Sharma prepared himself mentally and spiritually. He woke up before sunrise, took a bath, and performed his daily prayers. Throughout the day, he abstained from consuming any food and water and spent his time in meditation and chanting the name of Lord Vishnu.
As the day passed, Ved Sharma’s devotion and faith remained unwavering. He continued to offer prayers and seek the blessings of Lord Vishnu. In the evening, he visited the nearby Vishnu temple and participated in the special Mokshada Ekadashi rituals.
As the night approached, Ved Sharma felt a sense of peace and tranquility within himself. He knew that his fast had been observed with utmost sincerity and he had pleased Lord Vishnu with his devotion. With a pure and humble heart, he prayed for the well-being of his family and the liberation of his soul.
The next day, Ved Sharma broke his fast with a simple meal of fruits and offered his gratitude to Lord Vishnu for bestowing his blessings upon him. From that day onwards, Ved Sharma continued to observe the Mokshada Ekadashi fast with devotion and faith, and he was blessed with spiritual fulfillment and inner peace.
It is said that those who observe the Mokshada Ekadashi fast with sincerity and devotion are absolved of their sins and are granted liberation from the cycle of birth and death. May we all be inspired by Ved Sharma’s devotion and seek the blessings of Lord Vishnu on this auspicious day of Mokshada Ekadashi. Jai Shri Krishna!
