ποΈ Kamika Ekadashi Vrat Katha
Once upon a time, in the holy land of Varanasi, there lived a devout Brahmin named Devadutta. He was a devoted follower of Lord Vishnu and observed all the Ekadashi fasts with great dedication. His wife, Sumitra, was also a pious and virtuous woman who supported her husband in all his spiritual endeavors.
One year, the auspicious Kamika Ekadashi fell on a Monday, and Devadutta decided to observe the fast with utmost devotion. He woke up before sunrise, took a bath in the holy Ganges, and performed his morning prayers. Throughout the day, he abstained from consuming any food or water, and spent his time chanting the holy names of Lord Vishnu.
As the day turned into night, Devadutta continued his prayers and meditation, eagerly awaiting the arrival of the next day. In the early hours of the morning, he offered his prayers to Lord Vishnu and broke his fast with a simple meal of fruits and milk.
Pleased with his unwavering devotion, Lord Vishnu appeared before Devadutta and blessed him with prosperity, good health, and spiritual enlightenment. The Brahmin and his wife were overjoyed by the divine vision and thanked the Lord for his boundless grace.
From that day on, Devadutta and Sumitra continued to observe the Kamika Ekadashi fast with utmost sincerity and devotion, and their devotion to Lord Vishnu only grew stronger with each passing year.
And thus, whoever observes the Kamika Ekadashi fast with a pure heart and unwavering devotion is said to be blessed with the divine grace of Lord Vishnu and all their wishes are fulfilled.
So, let us all observe the Kamika Ekadashi fast with sincerity and devotion, and seek the blessings of Lord Vishnu for a blissful and prosperous life. Jai Shri Vishnu!
