ποΈ Katyayani Ekadashi Vrat Katha
Once upon a time, in the city of Dwaraka, there lived a king named Bhadrashal. He was a devout follower of Lord Vishnu and was known for his piety and devotion. However, the king had no children and this weighed heavily on his heart.
One day, while the king was conducting a yagna for the well-being of his kingdom, a sage named Durvasa arrived at his palace. The king welcomed the sage with great reverence and offered him a seat of honor. Pleased with the king’s hospitality, Sage Durvasa offered him a boon and said, “O King, if you observe the Katyayani Ekadashi with utmost devotion, you will be blessed with a child who will bring great joy and prosperity to your kingdom.”
The king was overjoyed and immediately vowed to observe the Katyayani Ekadashi with great devotion. He fasted on this auspicious day and spent the entire day in prayer and meditation, seeking the blessings of Goddess Katyayani. His devotion was so pure and unwavering that it pleased the Goddess, and she appeared before him in all her divine glory.
Goddess Katyayani blessed the king and granted him the boon of a child. True to her words, the king was soon blessed with a beautiful and virtuous daughter who brought immense joy and prosperity to the kingdom.
From that day on, the Katyayani Ekadashi became a revered and celebrated festival in the kingdom of Dwaraka. People from far and wide would observe this fast and seek the blessings of Goddess Katyayani for their well-being and prosperity.
And so, on the auspicious day of Katyayani Ekadashi in the year 2025, let us all observe this vrat with utmost devotion and seek the blessings of the Goddess for our well-being and prosperity. May our hearts be filled with love and devotion, and may our prayers be answered by the divine grace of Goddess Katyayani. Jai Mata Di!
