ποΈ Pasankusha Ekadashi Vrat Katha
Once upon a time, in the kingdom of Varanasi, there lived a devout Brahmin named Sumant. He was a dedicated follower of Lord Vishnu and observed all the Ekadashi fasts with utmost sincerity. Sumant was known for his piety and devotion to the Lord, and he was always eager to perform acts of charity and selflessness.
One year, during the month of Ashadha, Sumant learned about the upcoming Pasankusha Ekadashi, which is also known as Padma Ekadashi. He was excited to observe this auspicious fast and began preparing for it with great enthusiasm. On the day of the Ekadashi, Sumant woke up before sunrise, took a holy bath, and began his fast, vowing to spend the entire day in prayer and meditation.
As the day progressed, Sumant recited sacred hymns and offered prayers to Lord Vishnu with unwavering devotion. He also engaged in acts of charity, giving alms to the poor and feeding the hungry. Throughout the day, he remained steadfast in his resolve to observe the Ekadashi fast with sincerity and purity of heart.
As the sun set, Sumant broke his fast with great reverence, partaking in a simple meal of fruits and milk. He felt a deep sense of peace and contentment, knowing that he had honored the Lord with his dedication and self-discipline. That night, Sumant had a vision of Lord Vishnu, who appeared before him in all his divine glory.
The Lord praised Sumant for his unwavering devotion and blessed him with prosperity, good health, and spiritual wisdom. From that day on, Sumant’s life was filled with blessings and abundance, and he continued to serve the Lord with love and devotion.
The Pasankusha Ekadashi fast had brought immense spiritual fulfillment and divine grace into Sumant’s life, and he vowed to observe it with even greater fervor in the years to come. His unwavering faith and commitment to the Ekadashi fast had earned him the Lord’s favor, and he became an inspiration to others seeking spiritual fulfillment.
From that day on, the Pasankusha Ekadashi became a revered and celebrated occasion in the kingdom of Varanasi, with people from far and wide coming to seek the blessings of Lord Vishnu through the observance of this sacred fast.
