How to Observe Ekadashi Fast:

  1. Wake up before sunrise and take a bath.
  2. Clean the home and altar area, and offer yellow flowers to Lord Vishnu.
  3. Avoid grains, rice, and beans throughout the day.
  4. Chant Vishnu Sahasranama or any Vishnu mantra.
  5. Listen or read the Ekadashi Katha of the day.
  6. Break the fast (Parana) the next day after the prescribed time with light sattvic food.
